Administrators Earn Doctorate of Education

Seventeen administrators from the Long Beach Unified School District have graduated from a new doctoral program offered at San Diego State University (SDSU) in partnership with 菠菜网lol正规平台. The program is designed to advance the work of schools.

In May, each graduate traveled to San Diego to receive their Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership with a specialization in PreK-12. They represent the first 菠菜网lol正规平台 cohort to graduate from the program. 

The SDSU and 菠菜网lol正规平台 doctoral program is designed to prepare leaders who are committed to educational justice by providing them with the skills, knowledge and attitudes essential to transforming education systems to ensure all students are learning at high levels. 

The coursework focuses on developing reflective leaders and change agents that are capable of responding to demographic shifts and the increasingly complex needs of educational organizations within diverse multicultural regions.
